Top Ten
Putting thank you into action can be as simple as saying thank you for each stair step you take or as huge as a worldwide campaign. Everything is possible. The Top Ten list is to get your thank you thoughts, words and actions going! Suggest your favorite idea and it will be posted here. Click here to Share.
Just like David Letterman, the Top Ten list starts with:
#10 Are you still enjoying a gift you received some time ago and often say a mental thank you to the person who gave it to you? Send a note/email or make a call and personally share your feelings.
#9 When you are going up or down stairs, say thank you with each step.
#8 Want to say thank you to someone and feel it’s too late? It’s never too late to send a belated thank you. Even if the person has past away, send it to someone in the family.
#7 Notice name badges of personnel that assist you in stores, restaurants etc and say thank you to them at the end of the transaction. Note the name of customer service personnel on the phone and do the same.
#6 When you need a parking space, say thank you to the person leaving a space and see how fast one shows up easily and effortlessly. This really does work!
#5 When you read articles about neat things that people are doing in your community or beyond, find out an email and send a note of appreciation.
#4 If the only prayer you say is thank you, Meister Eckhart writes that is more than enough.
#3 Start a thank you campaign at your child’s school, for your place of worship or special interest group. There are so many people behind the scenes. Let them know how much you appreciate what they do.
#2 Teach a child about the art of saying thank you “beyond when mind your manners” is said. The earlier children learn about the value of expressing gratitude and appreciation, the more empowered they are with their lives.
#1 Be creative and see what you come up with such as a note in the sand. Send a photo and with your permission it will be added to the Photo Gallery.
