Directions for Skin Brushing
- Buy a natural, not synthetic bristle brush to avoid scratching the skin. Remember this is about saying thank you.
- Make sure it has a long handle so you can reach all areas of your body.
- Skin brush before showering at least once a day…twice a day is even better!
- Make sure the skin is dry.
- Start with the soles of the feet first, next the ankles, calves, thighs, stomach, hands and arms.
- Do circular, counter-clockwise strokes on the abdomen. Lighter strokes around the breasts and no brushing the nipples.
- Brush each part of the body vigorously several times.
- You can be saying thank you to every area that you are brushing. How cool is that?
- Take a warm shower followed by a cool rinse to invigorate and stimulate.
- Wash the brush every few weeks in warm soapy water and let dry.
