Directions for Skin Brushing

  1. Buy a natural, not synthetic bristle brush to avoid scratching the skin. Remember this is about saying thank you.
  2. Make sure it has a long handle so you can reach all areas of your body.
  3. Skin brush before showering at least once a day…twice a day is even better!
  4. Make sure the skin is dry.
  5. Start with the soles of the feet first, next the ankles, calves, thighs, stomach, hands and arms.
  6. Do circular, counter-clockwise strokes on the abdomen. Lighter strokes around the breasts and no brushing the nipples.
  7. Brush each part of the body vigorously several times.
  8. You can be saying thank you to every area that you are brushing. How cool is that?
  9. Take a warm shower followed by a cool rinse to invigorate and stimulate.
  10. Wash the brush every few weeks in warm soapy water and let dry.
